By 1962 , he convinced, Jawahar Lal nehru, that india should have its space program, and freinds this is how isro was ,born , in starting isro name was INCOSPAR , and because of this , we know Vikram Sarabhai as the father of space program, in the starting INCOSPAR has very limited resources and infrastructure, that rocket parts were transported on Cycle and bullock carts , in 1963 , india launched its first rocket, this was a sounding rocket, then other rocket named Rohini was launched on 20th November 1967 , then in 1969 , INCOSPAR was renamed as isro

In 1975 , india launched its first satellite, the name was Aryabhata, then india becomes sucess ful in making own launching vehicles, first satellite launch vehicle SLV/3 was used , to send the Rohini satellite, after this isro , worked on several launch vehicles, (ASLV) and (PSLV) and (GSLV) after that in 1983 , isro launched its satellite (INSAT) with this in india television broadcasting was possible, in 1984 , one more record, (rakesh sharma) a former pilot of the Indian Air Force, became the first Indian to travel in space, after two decades, isro has progressed more , in 2008 chandra yaan 1 was sucess ful , and now we are seeing the tremendous success of Chandrayaan 3 , which we and world are celebrating
