In the starting, there were darkness all around, but as he falls deeper, he noticed some grain like particles
His spacecraft start burning, so he has to eject from the spacecraft, and go deeper in black hole , but suddenly he found himself in a 5 dimensional space , a five dimensional teseeract
It was a mind boggling situation, the place , where he could communicate with his past self by using gravity , by seeing all this , a question must have arrived in your mind , is this possible
The history of black holes is not so old , from 100 years in past , no one knows about black holes , Einstein theory of relativity was the reason, that black holes are discovered
Einstein special theory of relativity tells us how speed , influences time , if the speed is too high of space craft then the time slows down in the space craft, relative to those people who are on earth , relative word is so important because in the space ship the astronauts experience the same time speed but in relative to earth people their time is moving slow
If you go back to earth, then you will know, that how much time difference was there in space ship and here on earth , this thing is known as kinematic time dilation
Not only speed , by gravity, time dilation can happen, the more gravitational force you experienced, the time will slow down for you , it is known as gravitational time dilation, and in the film interstellar it is perfectly explained
When kooper landed on the alien planet, their one hour was equal to seven years on earth , because the planet was very near to gangetua black hole , the gravitational force coming from black hole was impacting the time of alien planet
To visualise this Einstein said , imagine a space time fabric , on which all planetary objects are placed , according to their masses, the more mass they have , they are more bending the space time fabric

It means some objects in the universe has so much gravitational pull , that they can absorb light also , and if there are objects like this , they will be completely black , they can’t be seen because light can’t pass through it , and actually these are called black holes
