Kepler-1649c is an exoplanet that orbits a red dwarf star called Kepler-1649. It’s located about 301 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus. Kepler-1649c is the outermost planet in the planetary system discovered by Kepler’s space telescope. 

Kepler-1649c is about the same size as Earth, only 1.06 times larger.  It’s also likely rocky.  It takes 19.5 days to complete one orbit of its star, which is 0.0649 AU away.  Kepler-1649c is in its host star’s “habitable zone,” which is the range of distances where liquid water could exist on a world’s surface. 

Kepler-1649c receives 75% of the amount of light that Earth receives from the Sun. Its average surface temperature with no heat-trapping atmosphere (no greenhouse gases) would be -39°C (-38°F). This compares with -18°C (0°F) for Earth without a heat-trapping atmosphere.
