Magnetic field of a galaxy On September 6, 2023, astronomers detected the magnetic field of a galaxy that is so far away that its light has taken more than 11 billion years to reach us.
Six massive galaxies The James Webb Space Telescope discovered six massive galaxies that existed between 500 million and 700 million years after the big bang. These galaxies are up to 10 times bigger than the Milky Way Galaxy.
Methane and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of K2-18 b The James Webb Space Telescope discovered carbon-bearing molecules including methane and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of K2-18 b. K2-18 b is an exoplanet 8.6 times as massive as Earth that orbits the cool dwarf star K2-18 in the habitable zone.
