The Protheans’ legacy lives on through the mass effect relays, which they built to achieve faster-than-light travel. They also built the Citadel.

The Protheans are humanoids with four eyes, three nostrils, and a hard shell on their heads. Their heads are covered in a thick, layered carapace that gives them a distinctive shape. They also have a flanging effect in their voices

The Protheans are insectoid in nature. They have the ability to see through cloaked objects or entities. They can also absorb memory by touch.

Mass Effect 5 is a BioWare RPG that was announced with a teaser trailer at The Game Awards in 2020. The game is still in pre-production and has no announced release date. 

Mass Effect 5 will not be open world and will return to a “classic” format. The game will feature storylines from the Milky Way and Andromeda.
