Astronomers have discovered two planetary systems with sun-like stars at their centers. The systems are called TOI-2141 and TOI-1736. The planets in these systems are many times more massive than Earth and include mini-Neptunes and a “super-Jupiter”.
The first system, TOI-2141, is 250 light-years away and is nearly the same size as the sun, but slightly older. It also has fewer heavier elements than the sun.
A planetary system is a set of non-stellar objects that are gravitationally bound to a star or star system
The planets were located in two separate star systems, known as TOI-2141 and TOI-1736, respectively. TOI-2141 is located about 250 light years away; while it is slightly older than our Sun, it’s almost exactly the same size. TOI-173 is 290 lightyears away and about the same age and temperature as our Sun
Planets that orbit around other stars are called exoplanets. The term “exoplanet” is used to differentiate them from the planets in our solar system
Scientists have discovered more than 5,000 exoplanets, and they believe that most stars have at least one. Exoplanets are difficult to see directly with telescopes.
A star system is a group of planets, meteors, or other objects that orbit a large star. A solar system around a star other than our sun is called an extrasolar system or an exoplanetary system.
TOI-1736 and TOI-2141 are two planetary systems around sun-like stars. The systems were discovered using NASA’s TESS space telescope and the SOPHIE spectrograph.
TOI-2141 is about 250 light years away and is slightly older than the Sun, but almost the same size. TOI-1736 is 290 light years away and is about the same age and temperature as the Sun.
The two systems contain at least three exoplanets: TOI-1736 b, TOI-1736 c, and TOI-2141 b.

TOI-2141 is slightly older than our Sun, but it’s almost exactly the same size. Its chemical composition also reveals a scarcity of heavier elements compared to the sun. TOI-173 is about the same age and temperature as our Sun.
In a circumbinary system, planets orbit around two stars in the center instead of just one. The two stars orbit each other in a binary system, while the planet typically orbits farther from the center of the system than either of the two stars.
