It’s not totally improbable. It is not beyond logic that the whole reality around us is just a perception of our own individual minds (consciousness). It is extremely hard or I would say impossible to disprove it but you can not prove it either while being inside your consciousness. Consciousness is a very common term we here in our day to day life yet it is one of the most abstruse philosophical subject. Nobody claims to understand it completely. Your question is somewhat similar to deaming. But if you are in a well constructed dream, almost flawless, you won’t wake up unless you realise its a dream. Then only way to wake up from it is to kill yourself (please don’t try it). If you have watched Nolan’s movie ‘Inception’ you will get the point. If you haven’t stop right now and go watch it. It’s probably more interesting then the rest of the answer.
We can also take the analogy from the movie ‘Matrix’, where killing would be like taking a red pill and waking up from the matrix into reality but then you don’t have the way to get back into the matrix. Another problem with this could by that by killing yourself you are essentially destroying your consciousness and without it you don’t exist so even if you do get out of this perceived reality there is no way to figure out where you have landed, most likely nowhere because, well you are dead. Assuming, your consciousness survives even after you are dead then perhaps that what they refer to as haven and hell but Again, no substantial proof. So best thing you can do for batter understand is to refer to some books on consciousness and discuss it with friends who are interested. Though one of the side effects of thinking in this direction is peranoya. You know the feeling like if nothing is real then why care, why work hard to achieve anything because it’s not real anyway. I was reading this book by Jean-Paul Sartre called ‘Nausea’ in which narrator lives alone, he litterlly has no contact with any person. He begins to get paranoid about things having consciousness. It’s a critically praised book. You should read it if you like this kind of stuff.
What if, some very intelligent beings in some higher dimensions were trying to understand their universe? Given they have batter technology they can degin a more elegant and complicated models. What if our universe is one of those models. Only that its so elegant that it has its own intelligent beings like us. Its freaky, isn’t it?
Similar idea was shown in one of the episodes of ‘Rick and morty ’ season 1 where Rick’s vehicles battery had a universe inside it which was the source of the power. And a scientist inside that universe made the same battery to produce power for his use.
Consciousness is one of the oldest philosophical subject which is still studied and discussed. But its hard to build a concrete theory for it. I guess may be,its one of those things, us 3 dimensional beings can’t understand. May be its not and in the near future we will figure it out. So keep wondering about it, cause that’s the only way.
Science has proven the universe is ‘alive’ and that water can even feed off our positive or negative energy. This means every rock, plant, tree, cloud, and ocean is much more than meets the eye.
Needless to say, the universe is in fact a sentient being.
Now, just imagine the universe is an Orb, which it very likely is. And I have found five different ways such round spheres of energy contain human life forms.

As for this new image of the Helix Nebula, I promise it’s a real eye. With that said, ‘scientific artists’ did give it color based on what the materials and gasses were made up of. And the eye is human because we are the focus of the universe.
This can be seen simply by the visual study of the ‘building blocks of life’. There you’ll find ‘people’ that look like you and me everywhere. Even scenes that look straight from the Bible are found in space.
Of course, such eyes in nature are what the ‘All Seeing Eye’ is all about.
