Hello freinds , one wall , that is called Berlin Wall , which divided the country into two , it divided Germany into two parts for 40 years , and this wall is famous for division in the world, that story is about how the people of Germany break this wall , and reunite their country, this story starts from world war 2 , Germany lost the world war 2 , after the defeat, allies countries, decided to take control over Germany, and divede Germany into four parts , and Soviet Union , Britain, France and United States get control over each part , then after some time , three parts of Germany were united, and these three parts becomes west Germany and the part in control of Soviet Union became east Germany
This divide was not only political and geographical, but a idea logical divide, the soviet part was influenced by communists ideology and western Germany was influenced by capitalism, but basically, the residents of Germany were not divided by this ideology of communist and capitalism, but due to lack of control over country, they were forced to follow this , Germans who lived there , meet each other, they frequently crossed the wall and went in each other territory, like watching a movie or meet each other, permant migration also happened, mostly east Germany people went to west Germany, because in east Germany, due to centralise control, jobs shortages were there , the problem was so severe, that till 1961 , 20% of population of east Germany went to west Germany, around 35 million people, then east Germany government was shocked, and they started thinking about solutions to stop migration
Berlin lies in east Germany , but it was the capital of Germany, post world war , Berlin was also divided into two parts one part was controlled by Soviet Union and other part was of alllies countries, and West Berlin become like a island , covered by soviet influenced , Berlin , east Germany leader Walter ublircht, asked the Soviet Union, (what to do about Berlin) Soviet Union went to USA to talk about this matter , and said give full control of Berlin to them , but usa denied, they they build a wall between Berlin , and 13 august world came to know about the wall because West Berlin was inside east Berlin the wall covered the West Berlin, and check points were build in the wall like famous check point Charlie check point, but the people started to jump the wall , people were very desperate to cross the wall , but several people were injured crossing the wall , but the west Germany people were helping them to cross wall , they also wanted to reunite, people started to do creative ideas to cross the wall , even some tried to make tunnels under the wall , as the time passed, government made the wall more strong with barbed wires , in an instance, two people decided to make hot air balloon’s to cross the wall , till 1980 the condition of Soviet Union influenced countries economic conditions were very bad ,
There was no freedom of speech , and fair elections were not conducted, so like Poland revolution started , in some countries, peaceful movements like Gandhi ji style movement which was known as solidarity, fortunately, Soviet Union got his leader , mikhaiel Gorbachev, which tried to control the situation, he acknowledged the problems, He decentralised, the political and economic controls , brought in two measures, restructuring and transparency, and allowed the private companies to invest, in 1988 permission to open McDonald’s was given, in 1987, us president, Ronald Reagan gives speech at this gate , of wall , and said , (open the gate , mr Gorbachev please tear down this gate) finally the east Germany government, ordered to relive the restrictions on wall , 9 th November 1989 , Gunter Schabowski, given the work to adress the media , upon this , but the problem was that he was not present in the meeting, when this regulations were discussed, so he didn’t know when this regulations were passed on , so in press conference, when he was asked when this will happen , he said that , as I understand, this regulations will go into effect immediately, (the miscommunication) and after that the people heard the news , all East Germans reached at the wall , and said open the gate , we want to go other side , the wall security was confused, what to do , they asked their officials , they were also confused, they said try to stop people, but the crowd was increasing very fast , and the guards could not handle the situation and they come down the wall , then the crowd went the other side , destroying the wall , and public break down the wall and this was the fall of Berlin Wall , 9 th November 1989 was this historic day

This is a really interesting point. It’s true that the Cold War ideological divide was not simply imposed on the people of Germany; it was a construct of the political systems in place at the time. And while it’s true that many people did move from East Germany to West Germany, it’s also worth noting that many people chose to stay in East Germany. In fact, there were some who saw the system there as providing certain benefits, such as guaranteed employment and affordable housing. So it’s not as simple as saying that everyone in East Germany wanted to move to West Germany; it was a complex situation with many different perspectives.
