Using data from NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, scientists have identified an Earth-size world, called TOI 700 e, orbiting within the habitable zone of its star – the range of distances where liquid water could occur on a planet’s surface.
Have we found 2nd earth
A second planet has been found in the habitable zone of a star just 100 light-years from our solar system. Discovered in data from NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, the planet orbits a star called TOI 700, a red dwarf star in the constellation Dorado
TOI-700 e is 95% the size of the Earth and, much to our surprise, orbits on the inner edge of the star’s habitable zone, between planets c and d. Our discovery of this planet makes TOI-700 one of only a few known systems with two Earth-sized planets orbiting in the habitable zone of their star.
How far is TOI -700 from earth
We are two of the astronomers who led the discovery of this planet, called TOI-700 e. TOI-700 e is just over 100 light years from Earth – too far away for humans to visit – but we do know that it is similar in size to the Earth, likely rocky in composition and could potentially support life
TOI-700 is a red dwarf 101.4 light-years away from Earth located in the Dorado constellationthat hosts TOI-700 d, the first Earth-sized exoplanet in the habitable zone discovered by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite

Nice info. Was amused to read:
“TOI-700 e is just over 100 light years from Earth”
‘Just 1100 light years, just..lolz! Yes astronomical terms it may be close by! But still….

Well, amazing! Now to design and fund a probe that—wait a minute! That 100 light years away means 100 years traveling at the speed of light—no way we can send a probe out there in 100 years—more like several hundred! There goes the space budget—we don’t even know if we’ll be around several hundred years from now, the way our world is going! :0(

It’ll have to be unmanned of course, like VOYAGER was!
