Author
Books like this come along once in a lifetime. Michael Newton’s groundbreaking first book on the Afterlife is one of the great spiritual books of our time. Decades of detailed research made this book possible and it finally emerged when it was most needed, as humanity was starting to open more to the metaphysical roots of our existence. What makes it even more special is that Michael didn’t believe what he was finding at first, though through the eyes of thousands of client cases he was able to build a working model of the afterlife, an understanding of our connection to it and the possibilities of having the wisdom it offers within a life rather that wait for the end of it. This book has changed the lives of hundreds, upon hundreds of thousands of people…
Why are you here on Earth?
Where will you go after death?
What will happen to you when you get there?
Many books have been written about past lives, but there has been very scant information about the ongoing existence of our souls as we await rebirth – until Journey of Souls was published in 1994. Still a best-selling classic, Journey of Soulssummarizes Dr. Michael Newton’s research and work with individuals whom he placed in a state of deep hypnosis during which they recalled their experiences between lives as eternal spirits.
When Dr. Michael Newton, a certified Master Hypnotherapist, began regressing his clients back in time to access their memories of former lives he stumbled onto a discovery of enormous proportions: that it is possible to “see” into the spirit world through the mind’s eye of subjects who are in a hypnotized or superconscious state. Moreover, clients in this altered state are able to describe what their soul was doing between lives on Earth.
In Journey of Souls, Dr. Newton narrates and comments upon the progressive “travel log” of 29 of his clients who movingly described what happened to them between their former reincarnations on earth. They revealed graphic details about how it feels to die, who meets us right after death, what the spirit world is really like, where we go and what we do as souls, and why we choose to come back in certain bodies.
Journey of Souls sold 750,000 copies as of 2021, making it one of the highest selling books published by Llewellyn. It received public praise from celebrities Shirley MacLaine and Megan Fox

Insights from Introduction
#1
Humans are the only creatures on Earth who cannot lead normal lives if their fear of death is not controlled. Whether you are religious or not, this fear is usually reinforced with age, as the nothingness of the afterlife makes our lives in the present appear meaningless.
#2
We have envisioned an afterlife which poses questions about its appearance, features, and objective. Merging our soul and human brain produces our soul identity, which leads to the spiritual gateway that can answer afterlife questions. Unfortunately, we have forgotten our soul identity on a conscious level.
#3
Hypnotherapy can be used to manage chronic pain through intensifying the pain in order to acquire knowledge on how to lessen, control, or even eliminate it. Through this, a hypnotherapist can uncover a patient’s former life, which is an important aspect of the healing process.
#4
A hypnotherapist can see into the spirit world through a subject in hypnosis. Using trigger words to help a subject into spiritual recall can pinpoint past life regressions.
5
Subjects tend to acquire more meaning in discovering where they belong in the spirit world rather than recalling their former lives on Earth.
#6
The mind can be divided into three layers. The outer layer is the conscious mind, the second layer is the subconscious, and the innermost core is the superconscious.
#7
The conscious mind helps us reason, while the subconscious contains all memories of past and present lives. Finally, the superconscious holds our wisdom, perspective, and real identity, and can be considered the soul itself.
#8
Individuals under hypnosis are neither dreaming nor hallucinating. They reach the
Theta range, a brainwave state that is slow in wave activity and strongest when a person is meditating, daydreaming, or being hypnotized. The state of mind is conscious, able to receive and send messages.
#9
Once in the Theta state, people cannot lie, but as in the conscious state, they may misinterpret things.
#10
Careful cross-examination is valuable and practiced by hypnotherapists. It ensures that no one is faking spiritual experiences. On the contrary, subjects in hypnosis correct any misinterpretations made by the hypnotherapist.
#11
All kinds of clients with different races, philosophies, and social classes have shared their universal truth of the eternal world, which formed a model of what it could look like.
What is the book Journey of Souls about?
It is about new-age thinking. The kind of thinking that will lead you to only one place and not to a spiritual closeness to God, but to a familiar spirit and in the end to hellfire.
Don’t waste your time reading books with the devil as the inspirational author. Instead spend the precious time you have left reading about the only God that counts, the great “I AM”
Read John3:1–20, and give your life to the one who truly came to set you free. This will give the spiritual awakening that will produce everlasting life eternal, and to boot, you will spend it with your creator.
Now the book “Journey of Lost Souls” covers 29 subjects, under hypnosis and reveals graphic details about how it feels to die, what the spirit world is really like, where the soul goes and what it does there, why souls come back in certain bodies, how to recognize soul mates.
The only place a soul goes when you die is if you are of God, your soul dies with your earthly body and your spirit lives with God. If you die not coming to the Lord, your soul goes in the end to the lake of fire. Your soul is not a part of you that is in a body, your soul is made of your body, your earthly body.
