SpaceX के सीईओ एलन मस्क ने अपने X हैंडल पर कहा है कि दो साल के अंदर उनका स्टारशिप मंगल ग्रह पर पहली उड़ान भरेगा. यह फ्लाइट मानवरहित होगी. इसमें कोई यात्री नहीं जाएगा. इसके लिए सही लॉन्च विंडो की तलाश की जा रही है. ये तभी होगा जब पृथ्वी और मंगल ग्रह नजदीक आएंगे.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has said on his X handle that within two years his Starship will make its first flight to Mars. This flight will be unmanned. No passengers will go in it. The right launch window for this is being searched. This will happen only when Earth and Mars come closer.

मस्क ने कहा कि मानवयुक्त मिशन तभी होगा, जब सभी मानवरहित उड़ान सफल होगा. दो साल में पांच उड़ानों का प्लान है. अगर सभी मानवरहित उड़ानें सफल होंगी तो पहली मानवयुक्त उड़ान चार साल में संभव है. अगर कोई चुनौती आई तो मंगल पर इंसानों की फ्लाइट को तत्काल दो साल के लिए टाल दिया जाएगा. 

Musk said that manned missions will happen only when all unmanned flights are successful. There is a plan for five flights in two years. If all unmanned flights are successful then the first manned flight is possible in four years. If any challenge arises, the human flight to Mars will be immediately postponed for two years. 

स्टारशिप से मंगल मिशन करना आसान काम नहीं है. इसलिए जब तक सबकुछ सही नहीं होगा. हम इंसानों को मंगल पर नहीं भेजेंगे. इससे पहले मस्क ने कहा कि मंगल ग्रह पर पहली मानवरहित उड़ान पांच साल में होगी. इंसानों की उड़ान सात साल में होगी. लेकिन अब उन्होंने इसे कम कर दिया है.

How long will SpaceX trip to Mars take?

Various space agencies are working towards a crewed mission to the Red planet. NASA is working towards a 9-month journey, while SpaceX hopes to cut the trip to 6 months. The time it takes to get from Earth to the Red Planet is mainly dependent on the propulsion method used.

SpaceX Mars colonization program(colloquially also referred to as Occupy Mars) is a planned objective of the company SpaceX and particularly of its founder Elon Musk to colonize Mars. The main element of this ambition is the plan to establish a self-sustained large scale settlement and colony on Mars, claiming self-determination under direct democracy. The main motivation behind this is the belief that the colonization of Mars allows humanity to become multiplanetary and therefore secures the long-term survival of the human species in case of Earth being rid of human life.

Colonization is to be achieved via the development and use of reusable and mass-produced super heavy-lift launch vehiclescalled Starship. Starship has been referred to as the “holy grail of rocketry” for extraplanetary colonization.

These plans for colonization have garnered both praise and criticism, being supported as a result of public excitement for further human involvement beyond Earth and a desire to prefer human longevity, and being questioned for its existential perspective, execution, livability and legality

History

Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX, has engaged in space advocacy relating to the colonization of Mars since at least 2001 at the Mars Society.

As early as 2007, Elon Musk publicly stated a personal goal of eventually enabling human exploration and settlement of Mars.

Subsequently, SpaceX has stated its goal is to colonize Mars to ensure the long-term survival of the human species, proposing since the 2000s and early 2010s different concepts for reaching Mars, including space tugs.

2011, SpaceX planned on proposing Red Dragon for the Discovery Mission #13, which would launch in 2022, but it was not submitted. It was then proposed in 2014 as a low-cost way for NASA to achieve a Mars sample return by 2021. In the concept, the Red Dragon capsule would be equipped with the system needed to return samples gathered on Mars. NASA did not fund this concept.

2016, SpaceX planned on launching two Red Dragon vehicles in 2018, with NASA providing technical support instead of funding. However, in 2017, Red Dragon was cancelled, in favor of the much larger Starship spacecraft

The development program reached multiple milestones in 2024 such as on its third test flight, it reached its desired trajectory for the first time and on its fourth flight test, both stages of the vehicle achieved controlled splashdown after launch for the first time.

On 7 September 2024, SpaceX announced that it would launch the first uncrewed Starship missions to Mars in two years, aligning with the next Earth-Mars transfer window. Elon Musk shared on the social media platform X that these missions would focus on testing the reliability of landing Starships intact on Mars. SpaceX plans to launch five uncrewed Starships to Mars during that transfer window. If successful, the company plans to begin crewed flights to Mars in about four years
