Russian leader said aliens in yellow dress abducted me

The person who claimed he was abducted by aliens in yellow suits is

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the former leader of the Russian Republic of Kalmykia and the former president of the World Chess Federation (FIDE).

Ilyumzhinov first made the claims in a prime-time Russian television interview in 2010, stating the event occurred in September 1997 at his Moscow apartment.

Details of the Claim:

  • He claimed he was called onto his balcony by a voice and saw a “semi-transparent half tube” spaceship.
  • Inside the ship, he met “human-like creatures in yellow spacesuits”.
  • He stated communication occurred on a “level of the exchange of ideas” (telepathically), as no language was used.
  • The alleged aliens gave him a tour of their spaceship and told him that they were on Earth to take samples.
  • Ilyumzhinov claimed to have several witnesses to the event.

The story gained significant international attention and even prompted a Russian MP, Andre Lebedev, to write a letter to then-President Dmitry Medvedev asking for an official inquiry into what government officials should do if contacted by extraterrestrials, especially concerning state secrets.

He said that they put spacesuit on me told me many things and showed me around they wanted to demonstrate that ufo do exist

In his latest interview, he repeated and expanded on these claims. He said the extraterrestrials presented themselves as peaceful observers and told him that Earth had hosted several civilisations before humans. He also claimed they said human civilisation was still at an early stage and that chess was an extraterrestrial invention.

With his latest podcast appearance now circulating online, the story has found a new audience. In the age of social media, even the most unlikely claims can quickly capture global attention, especially when they come from someone who once sat at the top of both politics and world chess.

Significance of the Date

The date of July 2 was chosen to commemorate the anniversary of the famous Roswell incident of 1947. In this event, a mysterious object crashed on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. The U.S. military initially reported recovering a “flying saucer” but quickly changed the statement to say it was a weather balloon, sparking decades of speculation about alien encounters and government cover-ups.

The alternative date of June 24 marks the first widely reported UFO sighting in the U.S. by pilot Kenneth Arnold, who described the objects he saw as “saucer-like”.

Purpose of World UFO Day

The purpose of World UFO Day is to:

  • Raise awareness about unidentified flying objects and the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
  • Encourage open-minded scientific inquiry and discussion about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).
  • Pressure governments to declassify their files and share information related to UFO sightings with the public.

How to Celebrate

People around the world celebrate World UFO Day with various activities, including:

  • Organizing sky-watching sessions after sunset.
  • Hosting documentary or movie nights featuring alien and UFO themes.
  • Attending or hosting online forums, discussions, and workshops.
  • Visiting UFO museums and conventions, such as the annual festival in Roswell, New Mexico.

  2. To be honest, I don’t tend to trust former politicians current or past on matters of truth.
But I would welcome the chance to play this gentleman a game of chess.
